This week I tried out a new app: Clip Studio Paint on my iPad Pro, and used it entirely. This is the first time in months and months that I’ve begun a sketch digitally, but this is a very nice app to use. I used the desktop version of it a few years ago, but to have it on the go is great. Procreate is all very well for naturalistic editing and textures and painting, but for sketching I’ve usually gone either traditional or to something much simpler like Adobe Sketch. Clip Studio isn’t simple. It’s full- featured and powerful, and yet like Sketch it has a limited but excellent set of tools. I quite enjoyed using it.
